1010 WINS Mourns the Loss of an Original Anchor

NEW YORK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Lew Fisher, one of the original anchors from when 1010 WINS went to the all-news format, has died. He was 90 years old.
For 36 years, Fisher was a morning-drive anchor on WINS. A time that spans from before to after the station changed its format on April 19, 1965.
He also served in the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. |
