24-Hour 3 Train Service to Resume in Harlem

NEW YORK (AP)  -- Twenty-four-hour service on the No. 3 train will resume at two Harlem stations.

Starting Sunday, around-the-clock service on the No. 3 line will resume at the 145th Street and 148th Street stations.

For 13 years, service at the stations between midnight and 6:30 a.m. has been halted because of low ridership.

Residents in the area were forced to wait for shuttle buses or livery cabs.

The plan to resume service survived the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's budget cuts.
