Banner-Plane Pilot Suffers Minor Injuries in Crash

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP)  -- A banner-plane pilot is recovering from minor injuries after crash landing his plane in Middle Township.

Police say James Regan had his oil pressure drop, his engine seize and his propeller stop shortly before the July Fourth crash.

Regan's plane flipped when he tried to land it along the Delaware Bay shore shortly before 2 p.m. The 35-year-old suffered a bruised nose and scrapes on his hands in the crash.

Regan is from Santa Barbara, Calif.
