NEW YORK (AP) -- Narcotics detectives have arrested two New York City bounty hunters on charges of possessing over 6 pounds of cocaine worth at least $300,000.
Prosecutors say 33-year-old Chris Morel and 34-year-old Rensy Androver were arrested late Wednesday in Manhattan's Inwood section by agents from the city's Special Narcotics Prosecutor's office.
Prosecutors say the agents saw the cocaine in the rear of the black Nissan the men were in.
Prosecutors say the defendants are certified bail enforcement agents who work for Elsa Fugitive Recovery Agency in the Bronx.
Prosecutors say the defendants were charged with drug possession and face up to 24 years in prison if convicted.
