Boy, 5, Killed in Crash in Jamaica, Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/AP)  -- A 5-year-old boy was killed following a hit-in-run crash in Queens Thursday morning, police said.

A 2004 blue BMW slammed into a 2003 brown Ford Escape just after midnight near 109th Avenue and 164th Place. The crash sent the boy, Jordan McClaine, 5, flying out of the car and into a brick wall.

He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other people in the car with McClain were taken to Jthe same hospital for observation. They are expected to recover.

The three occupants of the BMW, possibly teens, jumped out of the car and fled the scene on foot. 

The boy's family says they believe the teens were drag racing.

The other people in the SUV were taken to Jamaica Hospital for observation.
 
Police are still searching for the occupants of the BMW.
