ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo says some gas stations in New York City and upstate are illegally overcharging credit card customers.
Cuomo says drivers should also be aware of potential "bait and switch'' tactics on posted prices.
Cuomo first raised the issues last week on Long Island. He said Thursday the problems have been found through the Hudson Valley as far north as Albany County and in the Southern Tier.
Cuomo's survey found some customers were lured to the pump by signs posting the lowest price, but not disclosing it was for cash transactions only.
