E. Coli Found in Caldwell, N.J. Water

NEW JERSEY (1010 WINS)  -- A boil water advisory has been issued in Caldwell, New Jersey.

One of the eight samples from the town's water supply tested positive for E. coli.

Bill Frint, of Caldwell Water System, says the advisory is in effect until at least Thursday while they conduct a series of re-tests. They will also be looking for the possible source of the contamination.

Caldwell Water System customers are being advised to boil water for one full minute prior to using it for cooking or drinking.

The water is currently being flushed to removed any contaminated water and additional samples will be collected to confirm water quality.
