Dr. Brian McDonough on Exercising During Pregnancy

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Is it good to exercise during pregnancy? Absolutely. I am a big supporter of exercise during pregnancy. 

The big point though is what you need to do is find exercise that works for you. You have to have the exercise usually that you’ve been doing all along. You just don’t introduce it during pregnancy. 

That means you want to be in as best condition as you can going into the pregnancy. Once again, talk with your doctor about the types of exercise, but realize it will make delivery a great deal easier if you are in better condition. 

And remember, all throughout pregnancy, you will have lifestyle questions. Lean on the experts for advice. Ask your doctor. Take advantage of support.
