Funeral Services Held for Rev. Timothy Wright in Brooklyn
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Funeral services were held Monday for Rev. Timothy Wright, who friends, family and fans lovingly called -- "The God-Father of Gospel."
Mona Rivera reports
Wright died Thursday at the Bronx Veterans Hospital, months after he was critically injured in a crash in Pennsylvania.
His wife and his grandson died shortly after the accident.
The funeral was held a Pilgrim Church in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
Al Sharpton, who spoke at the ceremony, bought a message from singer Aretha Franklin.
"She said well the good news is Al...It happened the way he lived...Timothy was on the right side of the road," Sharpton repeated.
