NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A New Jersey man's uncanny resemblance to Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain helped him score - with a number of ladies.
Ryan Ward, 29, of Asbury Park, told the New York Post that he "hooked up" with at least 62 women this summer, making reference to the fire-baller's jersey number.
Ward said he "became" Joba after being mistaken for him several times and following some encouragement from his friends.
Unfortunately for Ward, all good things must come to an end. He was arrested after ignoring several warnings to stop taking advantage of Jersey's women. He was released on $10,000 bail.
Even before the arrest, the scam wasn't all roses for Ward.
"I got slapped a few times and yelled at, too," he told the Post.
