TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- A 72-year-old man admitted fatally stabbing a female friend 28 times in her East Windsor home after she took away the TV remote.
Donald Zampini pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter after a jury was picked for his murder trial Tuesday.
Zampini told the judge he couldn't remember stabbing Barbara Morris 28 times, but he knew that he had attacked his 63-year-old friend.
Zampini, who will turn 73 this month, is from Queens, N.Y. He faces at least 15 years in prison when he's sentenced in January.
