NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -- A man has suffered back injuries after crashing his motorcycle through the living room window of a home in suburban New York.
Police say the 26-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital following the accident in New Rochelle, about 24 miles north of Manhattan.
High school teacher Zelda Demsey says she was sitting in the den of her home on Gail Drive on Wednesday when the man barreled through the window riding the motorcycle. She says she may have been dozing off when she heard the glass shatter. She was unhurt.
Police say it appears the White Plains man lost control of the motorcycle making a turn and drove into the octagonal window of Demsey's house.
No charges have been filed in the accident, which remains under investigation.
