Cops Hunt for Suspect in Possible Queens Sexual Assault

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- A manhunt is on for a suspect in a possible sexual assault in Jamaica, Queens, according to police.

Carol D'Auria Reports

A 16-year-old girl told police she was dragged behind a church near Brocher Road and Merrill Street at 8 a.m. Wednesday and sodomized on a stairwell by an armed man, police said.

She said she was on her way to school at the time of the alleged attack.

Police dogs picked up a scent from a piece of clothing and led investigators to a home on Baisley Boulevard near 172nd Street, police said. Heavily armed officers and police dogs are searching the back of the home.
