NEW YORK (AP) -- The official television network of New York City is celebrating its fifth birthday.
The award-winning NYC TV launched in June 2003.
It features coverage of governmental activities such as City Council hearings and mayoral events. It has expanded its coverage of city history, culture and entertainment by developing original programs showcasing the vitality of the city.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg says NYC TV has become a valued resource for New Yorkers and a great reflection of all the city has to offer.
The network has been recognized for its innovative programming with 33 New York Emmy Awards, 78 Telly Awards and six Promax Awards. |
