WILLISTON, Vt. (AP) -- Vermont police investigating a home invasion say they have nabbed one of New York City's most wanted suspects.
Twenty-two-year-old Luis Rivera was arrested outside the Comfort Inn Suites in South Burlington on Thursday.
He is wanted in New York City for attempted murder and felony robbery related to a shooting in June.
Authorities suspect Rivera and 21-year-old Gerald Ryan, of Burlington, invaded a Williston home early Tuesday in which a man was repeatedly struck with a hand gun.
Ryan has pleaded not guilty to being an accessory to burglary.
Rivera faces Vermont charges of aggravated assault, burglary, possession of cocaine and simple assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday. |
