Bar Manager on Stand for Second Day in Bouncer Murder Trial

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Dan Dorrian, the manager of the SoHo bar where Immette St. Guillen was last seen alive, was cross-examined by her accused killer's defense lawyers.

Juliet Papa reports

Darryl Littlejohn's defense team suggested in opening arguments that the politically connected Dorrian may have played a role in the killing of St. Guillen, who was found dead in Brooklyn with her hands bound around her back, duct tape wrapped around her face, and a sock stuffed in her mouth.

Today Littlejohn's defense attorney suggested that Dorrian's well-connected lawyers supplied police with information on Littlejohn's record.

Dorrian also denied a defense suggestion that he paid a homeless man to say that Littlejohn escorted St. Guillen to a blue van.

Dorrian, who was the manager at The Falls bar in February 2006 when St. Guillen disappeared, admitted Tuesday during testimony that initially he did not tell detectives the whole story.

He said he did not tell police he had asked St. Guillen to leave the bar that night and that he had asked Littlejohn, who was working as a bouncer, to escort her out.

He said that he did not want to get involved in the incident and had bad memories of a similar crime that took place at his father's bar on the Upper East Side.

Twenty years early at Dorrian's Red Hand on 84th Street, a young woman was murdered after meeting her killer at the establishment.  The crime was widely know as the "Preppy Murder."

Littlejohn is currently serving time for kidnapping another woman.

"Darryl Littlejohn is being framed to protect Danny Dorrian," Littlejohn's lawyer said.
