Court officials say 48-year-old Clark Rockefeller signed the waiver before a hearing Monday on a fugitive warrant charging him with abduction of a minor child. He faces no charges in Maryland, where he was arrested Saturday.

Baltimore District Court Associate Judge Norman Braverman set an Aug. 15 date for a status hearing. Authorities from Massachusetts have 30 days to retrieve Rockefeller from Maryland.

During his court appearance, Rockefeller did not speak and did not have an attorney present.
