NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- As if the United Nations traffic wasn't bad enough, a transformer fire caused part of a main cross street in Manhattan to shut down Friday morning.
1010 WINS Slideshow: 57th Street Closes Due to Fire
The fire forced fire crews and Con Edison to close west 57th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue. Some carbon monoxide from the fire also leaked into 200 W. 57th street causing the building to be evacuated.
