This latest theft happened at around 9:30 a.m. at the "N" and "R" station at Rector Street and Trinity Place, and appears to be the work of the same man who struck four times last week, authorities said.
That snatcher has been operating during the morning rush, police said. Typically, he grabs a purse, jumps onto the subway tracks then runs into the tunnel to get away.
An investigation is under way.

A dump truck struck a foot bridge over the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx Friday morning causing traffic headaches for hours.
