Lower Manhattan Subway Purse Snatcher Strikes Again

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- There was another purse snatching at a subway station in Lower Manhattan Tuesday morning, police said.

1010 WINS AUDIO: Juliet Papa reports

This latest theft happened at around 9:30 a.m. at the "N" and "R" station at Rector Street and Trinity Place, and appears to be the work of the same man who struck four times last week, authorities said.

That snatcher has been operating during the morning rush, police said.  Typically, he grabs a purse, jumps onto the subway tracks then runs into the tunnel to get away.

An investigation is under way.
