Putnam Bar Owner Faces Sentencing in Fatal Crash

PATTERSON, NY. (AP)  -- The owner of a Putnam County tavern faces sentencing after being convicted of allowing a woman to drink shortly before she was killed in a head-on collision.

Ray Knox Jr., the owner of the Paddock tavern, is scheduled to be sentenced Monday night in Patterson Town Court.

The collision occurred on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, a quarter mile from the bar. Longchamps' Ford SUV crossed onto oncoming traffic and struck a minivan driven by Kristen Henry, of Holmes, N.Y.

Both women were killed. Henry's husband and three children were seriously injured.
