The cast-off dogs and puppies were taken to the North Shore Animal League in Port Washington -- the largest no-kill shelter in the world -- after they were rescued from the mill.

The dogs will now be available for adoption.

Among the rescued dogs are adults that were used for breeding, adolescents and puppies -- including various breeds such as Cocker Spaniels, Chihuahuas, Mini-Pinchers, Jack Russell Terriers and Poodle mixes.
