S.I. Couple Arrested, Accused of Shoplifting Scotch

HOLMDEL, N.J. (AP)  -- Holmdel, N.J. police have arrested two Staten Island residents accused of shoplifting several hundred dollars worth of scotch.

Police say a worker at the Wine Cellar recognized the pair as suspects in an earlier shoplifting incident.

Officers arrived and arrested 67-year-old Charles Simboya and 50-year-old Barbara Curbelo.

Police say the pair pinched about $370 worth of Johnnie Walker on July 25, and about $100 worth of the alcohol Thursday.

Both are charged with shoplifting and conspiracy.
