Sonia Rincon

Sonia is a reporter and anchor on 1010 WINS.

Born in Spain and raised in 4 out of 5 boroughs of New York, Sonia has been a news junkie and 1010 WINS fan for as long as she can remember.

Her journalism career began at Emerson College in Boston, where she lived and breathed radio news at WERS-FM, serving as news director and helping the award-winning college station win more awards.

Since then, Sonia has worked for radio stations all over the East Coast including KYW Newsradio 1060 in Philadelphia, WGAN-AM and WPOR-FM in Portland, Maine,  WFIR-AM and WSLC-FM in Roanoke, Virginia, and WLAD-AM and WTIC-AM in Danbury and Hartford, Connecticut, picking up several more awards for her reporting and anchoring along the way.

But for Sonia, nothing beats telling the stories of New York.

Sonia lives in the Bronx, where she can also be seen on TV from time to time covering stories for Cablevision's News 12 The Bronx. She is a big-time Yankees fan, a proud member of the alumni of LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts, and the daughter of Flamenco guitarist Reynaldo Rincón.
