STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Stamford officials say another incident of falling debris has forced them to temporarily stop construction of a 34-story apartment tower being developed by Donald Trump.
Mayor Dannel Malloy says a city building inspector is being sent to the site to monitor the project, and city officials accused construction crews of not taking adequate safety measures.
Debris from the Trump Parc luxury apartment tower crashed into a University of Connecticut building across the street on Wednesday. It was the third time in three months that falling debris from the tower has caused damage.
Trump Parc is being developed by Trump, Thomas Rich and Louis Capelli.
The contractor says he is cooperating with city officials.
