Teen Stabbed Near Queens High School

NEW YORK (AP)  -- A teenager was stabbed Tuesday afternoon one block from Richmond Hill High School in Queens.

Police say the 16-year-old, who is a student at the school, was stabbed in the torso just before 2 p.m. EMS says the victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police say they do not have information on a suspect at this time. 

Kids at the school say they believe the stabbing was gang related.

No arrests were immediately made.
