Trump Lawsuit Over His Net Worth Is Thrown Out

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- A judge in New Jersey has dismissed Donald Trump's lawsuit against an author who wrote that Trump is a millionaire, not a billionaire.

Trump says he's worth between $5 billion and $6 billion, and claims that Timothy O'Brien was malicious when he reported in a book that Trump's worth was more like $150 million to $250 million.

Superior Court Judge Michele Fox ruled Wednesday that the author did not intend to harm Trump with his 2005 book "TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald.''

Camden County Courts Civil Division Manager George Coan says the judge did not rule on how much Trump is actually worth.

But Trump said Thursday that his arguments proved that he's worth billions.
