Two Men Shot Outside Long Island Party

WYANDACH, N.Y. (1010 WINS)  -- Suffolk County police say two men were mysteriously shot from behind while attending a party in Wyandach.

Both men were in the front of the house when the shooting occured. Police say 31-year-old Whangson Numa was hit with a single shot in his back near his right shoulder. Malcome Cater, 16, heard a shot and felt a sharp pain in the back of his left leg. He ran from the party and collapsed nearby. Both men were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.

Police say no witnesses have come forward from the party, and there is no description of the shooter.
