NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Congress is reportedly taking a close look at embattled congressman Vito Fossella's pricey 2003 trip to France.
Fossella visited the region of La Hague on a "fact finding" mission, the Daily News reported, and his mistress is suspected of tagging along.
Lawmakers commonly visit the area to tour its nuclear fuel reprocessing plants, but the question is was the Staten Island Republican actually there on business or was it a romantic getaway with his "baby mama," retired Air Force Col. Laura Fay.
Last week, Fossella admitted to fathering Fay's 3-year-old daughter.
He could be ordered to repay taxpayers for his travel expenses if Congress concludes his trip mixed business with pleasure, sources told the News.
There has been no comment from Fossella's camp on this story, but it's believed the congressman could make a statement about his future sometime on Monday.
