Woman Attacked and Robbed in Central Park

NEW YORK (AP)  -- Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman walking in Central Park, punching her, trying to pull off her clothes and robbing her.

A 911 call reporting the assault late Friday night brought police to the scene -- near the park's West Drive at 108th Street.

There, the 31-year-old woman told officers that she'd been walking through the park when the assailant approached her, punched her and demanded her personal property. Police did not specify what he stole.

When he failed to rip off her clothing, the man fled on foot. Police say the suspect is still at large.
