ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities say they hope to soon identify the body of a woman pulled from the Passaic River who appeared to be around the same age as a northern New Jersey mother of three missing since last week.
Divers from the Bergen County Police Department recovered the body about 8 p.m. Sunday from the river in Elmwood Park. The woman appeared to be around the same age as the 44-year-old Waldwick woman who went missing Thursday.
Elmwood Park Chief of Police Donald Ingrasselino said results of an autopsy performed Monday don't indicate foul play and seem consistent with a drowning. He said dental records were being checked to make a positive identification.
The Waldwick woman's name has not been disclosed. She was reported missing by her husband.
