Bids Due Thursday for Hudson Rail Yard Property
|
NEW YORK (AP) -- The biggest names in New York real estate are due to turn in bids Thursday for rights to rebuild Manhattan's Hudson rail yards.
The 26-acre stretch is now an expanse of parking lots, warehouses, gas stations and scattered businesses just off the Hudson River.
Developers hope to transform it into a new neighborhood of office towers as tall as 70 stories, plus apartments, hotels and parks.
