NEW YORK (AP) -- A suspected dog fighting ring was broken up in Queens by animal control officers who found one dead dog and three injured dogs Thursday night.
Officers from New York Animal Care and Control got a tip about the abandoned house at 177th Place and 120th Avenue in Saint Albans.
Animal control officer Mike Pastore said all the dogs had wounds that are consistent with dog fighting. No arrests were made.
