Officials Believe 'Ninja Burglar' Struck Again on Staten Island

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- Officials believe the "Ninja Burglar" has returned to Staten Island after a two-month lull.

1010 WINS AUDIO: Al Jones Reports

The 'Ninja' is connected to as many as 18 burglaries since May, with the latest taking place over the weekend.

According to authorities, the burglar struck two times in the Todt Hill area on Saturday night. The burglar climbed through a second floor balcony and robbed a house on Louise Lane. A few hours later, the burglar robbed a home just a few doors away on Ocean Terrace.

A safe was taken from one home that contained $20,000, and jewelry was taken from another location, said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.

Kelly added that there was no sign of forced entry.
