Bullets Fly in the Bronx, Hurt 3-Year-Old Girl

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- A 3-year-old girl was shot as bullets flew in the Fordham section of the Bronx Monday night.

She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital after being grazed in the shoulder, officials said. She is expected to recover.

Witnesses say about 15 shots were fired on the corner of Tiebout Avenue and E. 184th Street. The bullets went through apartment windows, lodged in Television sets, hit cars down the block, and punctured street signs at the corner.

Two cars reportedly got into an accident as they tried to get out of harms way.

Neighbors say the corner is known for it's drug sales.
