NEW YORK -- The New York City Parks Department is looking for a few good lifeguards.
Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz were joined Monday by 12 time Olympic medalist swimmer Jenny Thompson to announce thestart of lifeguard recruitment for New York City beaches and pools for this summer.
The announcement was held in Manhattan's Union Square Park.
