Wind Chill Causes New Jerseyans to Bundle Up

Arctic air has Garden State residents bundling up.

Snow showers overnight caused some icy conditions on roads, especially along Interstate 78 in Warren and Hunterdon counties.

Wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour will make temperatures feel like single digits and teens in parts of the state.

The wind also is causing blowout tides along the Delaware River.

Forecasters say water levels are two to three feet below normal and are not expected to change much Friday.

The National Weather Service says the cold weather will moderate over the upcoming weekend with above normal temperatures arriving by Sunday.
