NYPD: Man Gunned Down in Murray Hill

NEW YORK (1010 WINS)  -- There's been a deadly shooting in the Murray Hill section of Manhattan.

Police say a 29-year-old man was shot in the neck at around 7:40 Saturday morning, after exchanging words with his killer.

He later died at a hospital.

It happened on East 39th Street near Madison Avenue outside The Williams Club, the 100 year old social club affiliated with Williams College. Investigators say the violence had nothing to do with the club.

The victim was said to be leaving work at a nearby printing company when he was approached from behind by the gunman.

Witnesses said the suspect was a man in a black-hooded sweatshirt with a silver handgun.

The motive for the shooting was unclear.
