Heartless Burglars Steal Little Girl's Dog
|
QUEENS (1010 WINS) -- A family in Queens not only came home to find their home burglarized, their dog was taken, too.
Diana and Steve Tarantola of Middle Village lost valuables and family heirlooms Jan. 27, but it's only Buddy - their Yorkshire terrier - they want back.
"Keep everything else," Tarantola told The New York Daily News. "Keep the money. Keep the jewelry." The Tarantolas are offering a $500 reward for the safe return of their pooch.
If that wasn't enough, the couple's 2-year-old daughter Deanna keeps asking for the pup and her parents are running out of explanations.
The couple was at a friend's party that Saturday night, and came home and found a broken window lock around 10 p.m. The downstairs tenants in the two-family house also were robbed of jewelry.
1010 WINS AUDIO: Al Jones Reports
According to The New York Daily News, investigators are positive the dog didn't escape and was stolen because the thief locked the window behind him.
Tarantola told The Daily News, "I don't care how they do it. Just give us our dog back."
