While it’s “All News All the Time” on the air, you’ll find John in the next studio across from the anchors behind the scenes, producing some of the commercials you hear on the station. 

It’s been John’s life long dream to work in radio ever since he began his career at the age of 16, presenting the morning show on his school station “Silver FM” in John’s native England. So eager, John even slept at the station overnight so he wasn’t late for the early start!

In 2001, after studying media at college and the traditional unpaid work at local stations, Fox FM in Oxford gave John a full-time presenting contract. He relocated to Oxford and took over the weekday evening show “Mellow Magic”, as well as hosting “Club F.O.X.” on Saturday nights. John was soon delivering results, with ratings showing he had added an additional 15,000 listeners! He even found himself presenting on stage at the stations annual summer festival “Party in the Park”, introducing acts to an audience of over 85,000 people.

John took over the "Drive time" program at another local station called Hertbeat FM in September 2003. He was also approached by Easy Radio London, where he presented the “Easy Entertainment What’s On Guide” and “Saturday Sports Show”.

Chiltern Radio Group came knocking next, where John begun a dual role as both an audio producer and presenter. It was then John switched the focus away from presenting and took on responsibility for audio production for the groups four stations in the English Home Counties. These included 97.6 and 96.9 Chiltern FM, Watford’s Mercury 96.6 and FM 103 Horizon Milton Keynes -- a total audience of over 1.5 million listeners.

Inspired by the song from the artist Sting, in 2005 he packed his bags and moved to New York. As he took his first ever yellow cab ride from JFK Airport, he saw the Manhattan Skyline rise before him with the soundtrack of 1010 WINS from the taxi’s radio. That’s when he knew he wanted to be part of it.

After a year of becoming the first British voice to broadcast at Virgin Megastores flagship store in Times Square, John became a part of the WINS team in 2007. Ever since then, he’s loved being part of the station that makes New York what it is.
