NORWICH, Conn. (AP) -- Norwich police have arrested an 8-year-old girl, charging her with arson and accusing her of setting a fire that severely damaged a three-family home.
The fire on April 30 severely damaged the home on Central Avenue and left 14 people, including seven children, homeless.
The girl is charged with third-degree arson. Police say she lived in the home that burned.
Police say the girl's role in the fire amounted to a ``reckless action,'' but they are not releasing any other information.
