Welcome to your first step in joining the 1010 WINS Text Alert Network. This service will provide text messages to your cell phone, PDA, Blackberry and similar devices between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. If there is a critical news event, we may send alerts outside of these time periods.
Messages sent will only consist of these types of advisories:
Major transportation issues
Large-scale utility outages
Critical news events
Public safety messages
Amber alerts
Important weather announcements
The text alert message will be sent when an event reaches a certain threshold determined by the 1010 WINS newsroom.
