With Memorial Day weekend upon us, Coney Island opened for the 2008 season on Thursday kicking off the unofficial start of summer. 1010 WINS Reporter Juliet Papa captured the fun and festivities at the historic park and beach.
Parachute Jump
The historic Parachute Jump towers over the crowds and pierces the clouds at Coney Island. The landmark was first introduced at the 1939 New York World's Fair and has been closed since 1968.
