Police Arrest Truck Driver in Fatal NYC Crash

NEW YORK (AP) -- The driver of a truck that slammed into a car in Manhattan and killed a passenger has been arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Police say the 22-year-old man from Garfield, N.J., was also charged with driving while intoxicated in the Sunday morning crash.
Police say 17-year-old Julie Tsang was a passenger in a car driving southbound on Park Avenue that turned onto East 65th Street and was hit by the truck. Tsang died at the scene of the accident.
Police say Tsang's friend, who was driving the car, was taken to a nearby hospital. She was in critical condition Sunday night. The driver of the truck was unhurt.
