Wake Held for Brooklyn Pastor's Family

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/AP)  -- A wake was held Sunday for the wife and grandson of Brooklyn's Rev. Timothy Wright. Rev. Wright, of the Grace Tabernacle Christian Center, and his family were involved in an accident in Pennsylvania on July 4.

Sonia Rincon reports

The Grammy-nominated gospel singer remains in critical condition three weeks after the car crash that killed his wife and grandson.

Family members say Rev. Wright is conscious and alert but still on a respirator at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.

Relatives say they told the 61-year-old clergyman about his wife's death on Monday. They hope to soon move him to a rehabilitation facility.

Wright's car was hit head-on by a vehicle going the wrong way on a Pennsylvania highway. The other driver was killed.
