Video Captures Teens Showing Kids How to Smoke Pot

WATAUGA, Texas (1010 WINS)  -- Police in suburban Fort Worth, Texas, said they found a videotape during a burglary investigation that appears to show two teenagers persuading a 2-year-old boy and his 5-year-old brother to smoke marijuana.

Now a 17-year-old man, the uncle of the two boys, faces a felony charge of injury to a child.

Police say the video shows two children being taught to smoke marijuana and the men encouraging them to -quote -"get high."

One of the teens is seen placing what appears to be a marijuana cigarette into one child's mouth and, in another part of the video, a different boy is shown smoking on his own.

"I have never seen anything like this quite so disturbing," said Bruce Ure, director of public safety for the Watauga Police Department. "Our children count on us to protect them; these individuals did everything but protect these children."

A man can be seen placing a marijuana cigarette into a baby's mouth and, in another part of the video, a different boy is shown smoking on his own.

17-year-old Demetris McCoy's bail was set at $150,000 dollars.

Police found the video February 22nd while investigating McCoy and 18-year-old Vanswan Polty in connection with some area burglaries. Polty faces burglary charges and is free on $22,000 bail.

The boys' mother, McCoy's sister, has told police she was sleeping in a back bedroom during the incident. She has not been charged.

The children have been in the custody of Child Protective Services since last week.
