Cops: Man Lured to His Death in Coney Island

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police say a Brooklyn car salesman who thought he was going to meet a woman he met online was actually being lured to his death.
Daniel Brandt, 24, went to the Sea Rise apartment complex in Coney Island expecting to see the woman but instead was confronted by two armed men around 1 a.m. Monday, police said. Brandt was then robbed and shot once in the head.
Police say Brandt was rushed to Coney Island Hospital but could not be saved.
Officials are trying to determine whether the date was set up by the mystery woman or if he was lured by his alleged attackers.
No arrests have been made.
