RAMAPO, N.Y. (AP) -- State police say a chase with a New York City motorcyclist exceeded 100 mph on the state Thruway but ended abruptly when the man's bike ran out of gas in suburban Rockland County.
The high-speed chase began Tuesday afternoon on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangetown.
State police say they chased motorcyclist John Molina for several miles from the parkway onto the northbound Thruway and then after he made an illegal U-turn and raced south on the Thruway.
The chase ended near the Spring Valley toll plaza, when the motorcycle ran out of gas.
Molina, of the Bronx, was arraigned Tuesday night in Ramapo Town Court on charges that included second-degree reckless endangerment and several traffic infractions. Calls to the court were not answered Wednesday evening.
