HARRISON, N.Y. (AP) -- A young New York mother stands accused of killing her 1-year-old daughter.
Anthonica St. Victor, 20, of Yonkers, is charged with manslaughter in the death of her daughter Carissa.
Harrison police Chief David Hall says an autopsy found blunt trauma to the baby's head, several broken ribs and signs of earlier abuse.
He says the case ``really broke the hearts of all the investigators.''
Carissa was allegedly injured Sept. 9 while St. Victor visited her boyfriend's apartment on the grounds of the Century Country Club in Harrison. The boyfriend, who is not the baby's father and has not been charged, worked at the club but has since been fired.
St. Victor is being held without bail. Her lawyer did not enter a plea at Friday's arraignment.
