NEW YORK (AP) -- Three people were injured when a car jumped a curb in Brooklyn Thursday morning.

Police say a 74-year-old woman lost control of her car and jumped the sidewalk striking three pedestrians before coming to rest against a school fence at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 78th Street in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn.
Two of the people are in serious condition and another is stable.
Authorities say an 8-year-old child was also in the back of the car that jumped the curb.
