Man Arrested After Camera Found In MTA Ladies Room

STAMFORD, Conn. (AP)  -- A janitor is accused of videotaping at least 16 women in a bathroom stall of the Stamford Metro-North train station using a hidden cell phone.

Police with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority charged
41-year Felicitos Gonzalez, who lives a block away from the station, with making voyeuristic recordings on Wednesday.

Gonzalez works for the company that maintains the station. He's being held on $50,000 bond. Police say he is in the country illegally, and they've contacted immigration authorities.

A woman told police she found the cell phone inside a basket containing rolls of toilet paper on Nov. 3. Police say the phone had footage of 16 women using the bathroom and of Gonzalez putting the phone in the basket.

Police say Gonzalez denied the allegations.
